From the Law to the Stage

Lt. Mark Stooksbury has served as a police officer in a small rural town for the past 28 years. Seven years ago he decided to take acting, dancing and singing lessons, becoming what is known among showbiz types as “a triple threat.”

"When I turned 41, I woke up and realized I'm not going to be here forever," he said. "I wanted to do some things that meant a lot to me."

Having recently starred in local productions of “The Tempest” and “The Fantastics,” the lawman has most definitely shown an impressive range and a willingness to try anything.

According to Mark, the saddest words anyone can ever say are, “If only.” As he waits for his turn to audition for that next big Broadway production, he can take solace in the thought that he will have no regrets.
